These Meditations were originally presented by Virginia Satir at various training and other events and have remained hidden from view since her death in 1988 over thirty years ago. Dr. John Banmen, one of her close friends and colleagues, has edited them.
Virginia Satir used guided meditations as a way of helping a group of people become centered and in touch with the physical, cognitive and intuitive parts of themselves. Her purpose was to help people grow and fully experience their life energy, access their internal resources and connection with the universe.
The Satir Institute of the Pacific is honored and proud to offer this previously unpublished selection of Virginia Satir’s Meditations.
Their relevance and insights are of lasting significance. Careful study of these guided meditations and inspirations will lead the reader to a greater understanding of Virginia Satir’s vision and especially their own capacity of what it means to be more fully human.
