In her book, Your Many Faces, Virginia Satir, mentions having many faces is a universal experience for everyone everyday. We are a whole of different parts, including the parts we like, the parts we don’t like, which we hide and want to show. She also mentioned common parts such as fear, anger, helplessness, despair, powerlessness and those that were expelled, neglected, rejected, paralyzed, punished and unclaimed. Make a list of all the different facets for yourself, divided into good and bad. Every face, whether you label it good or bad, is a seed, a germ, a germ that can be new energies and new uses, like finding a beautiful face under the dirt. Wash off the dirt and being careful not to destroy the whole face.
There will be conflicts between these different parts of life, dig deep into each part to find the good intentions and positive desires in it, each part is an expression of yourself, or an invitation to make your life more meaningful and balanced.
