About SIP Board of Directors

The SIP Board of Directors oversees the Satir Institute of the Pacific, a non-profit society in British Columbia and a registered charity with Revenue Canada. The Board consists of up to 9 elected directors. Additional ex-official members include the Past President (one-year term), and the appointed Directors of Training, Membership Services, and Marketing. The Board can have up to 13 members in total.

Election Process

Directors are elected for three-year terms with staggered completions to maintain continuity. Elections are held during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in February or March. The Board may appoint a new director to fill any vacancies between AGMs.

Nomination Process

Only one form is needed for nominations. Individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else. Once nominated, an SIP executive member will follow up with the nominee for further discussion.

Standing Committees

Satir Institute of the Pacific has 6 standing committees which meet regularly throughout the year. If you’re passionate about making a difference and would like to get involved as a member or chairman of a standing committee, we’d love to hear from you! Reach out to Cindi at admin@satirpacific.org to learn more. Your contribution can help shape our community’s future!

Advisory Board

The following people have accepted a three year term (January 2023 – December 2025) on the Advisory Board for the Satir Institute of the Pacific. The Advisory board supplies feedback and advice on specific topics from time to time. We thank them for their time.
