STST Level 2 is an accredited program that offers 60 continuing education credits from Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).*

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

Level 2 is designed for counsellors and therapists who are ready to move beyond the foundational concepts of the Satir Model and deepen their ability to facilitate transformational, experiential, systemic change therapy.

This program is for practitioners who have:

  • Completed a Transformational Systemic Therapy Level 1 training program offered by the Satir Institute of the Pacific, or an equivalent program approved by the Director of Training
  • Current experience working with clients in a counselling or helping role
  • An interest in developing greater competence, congruence, and confidence in their therapeutic practice
  • A desire to deepen their ability to work transformationally with individuals, couples, and families

Level 2 provides an opportunity to take the principles introduced in Level 1 and develop greater skill in applying them throughout the therapeutic process.

You will explore how to work more deeply with the intrapsychic and interactive systems that shape our experiences and relationships, while developing your own use of Self as a competent, confident, congruent, and creative therapist.

This Is More Than Learning New Techniques

Deepen Your STST Practice

The Level 2 experience focuses not only on what therapists do, but on how they bring themselves into the therapeutic process.

Through experiential learning and skill development, you will have opportunities to deepen your capacity to:

Be Present
Use your Self with greater congruence, confidence, competence, and creativity.

See Beneath the Problem
Make contact with the person rather than focusing solely on the symptom, and discover the resources and positive intentions within dysfunctional patterns.

Facilitate Transformation
Help clients access deeper internal processes, connect with their yearnings and Life Energy, and create meaningful transformational change.

Work Systemically
Understand the relationship between intrapsychic experience and interactive patterns within couples and families.

Support Choice & Empowerment
Help clients access their internal strengths and resources, increase ownership of their internal processes, and expand their possibilities for choice.

Integrate Change
Support clients in anchoring and integrating transformational changes into their lives and relationships.
