Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (STST) Level I Training
This experiential training is designed for counsellors, therapists, and other helping professionals working directly with clients. Participants learn and practice Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy (STST) to facilitate deep and lasting change with individuals, couples, and families.
The program combines lecturettes, small group discussions, demonstrations, and skill practice sessions, with additional trio practice between modules.
STST integrates both intrapsychic and interactive dimensions of therapy, focusing on the whole human being and fostering transformational change through internal resources and universal yearnings. Grounded in current therapeutic and neurobiological research, the model emphasizes experiential, systemic, and positively directional processes that promote real and sustainable change.
Participants can expect significant personal and professional growth through experiential learning and therapy demonstrations.
I want to express my deep appreciation and gratitude for this course. I entered into it with few expectations or previous knowledge, as it was a course I needed to fulfill registration requirements so resigned myself to taking it without really knowing what it was about. I have been consistently delighted and appreciative for the content and how applicable it is in my daily life. It provides such a useful framework for exploration of so many topics and aspects of daily living. I can also see how so many different modalities grew out of this approach – although I have not really seen that acknowledged in the literature. Satir was a thinker ahead of her time and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn more about her work and have had the chance to apply it to my own life. L. Dietrich
