Songyan Wang (Tina) brings a blend of professional expertise and a passion for community empowerment to her role as both an active member and Board Member at the Satir Institute of the Pacific. With a background in computer science from university and over a decade of experience in corporate settings, she transitioned her career toward nonprofit organizations and educational institutions, where she dedicated herself to supporting diverse populations, including youth, seniors, and immigrants to Canada. Her commitment to service extends beyond her professional endeavors, as she has volunteered with various NGOs and crisis hotlines.
Her journey into the realm of Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy began with participation in Level 1 and 2 courses, along with additional workshops. She applied these learnings in her professional endeavors, self-growth journey, and personal relationships. As a member of the Board, She is committed to nurturing the ethos of the Satir Institute of the Pacific, offering seeds of Satir’s wisdom to people when they seek to cultivate their own gardens of growth and resilience
