Standing Committee

The finance committee is chaired by the Treasurer of the Institute and meets regularly to monitor the finances of the Institute, including developing the Annual Budget and program budgets, advise the board on long term financial needs and projections and to develop policy and guidelines for board approval.

The training committee is chaired by the Director of Training of the institute and meets regularly to assist with the planning of workshop, seminars, and training programs. They make recommendations to the Board regarding programs to be sponsored or approved by the institute. Develop current and new programs for the institute and recommendation regarding new workshops and facilitators.

The marketing committee is chaired by the Director of Marketing which is currently Vacant. The committee is responsible for working on a marketing plan for the Board, to design and implement new strategies of marketing and to work with the Treasurer and Finance Committee in projecting income and expenses for products and advertising. They will also work closely with the Administrator.

The membership committee is chaired by the Director of Membership which is currently vacant. The committee is responsible for connecting with members and finding new ways to increase membership with possible Surveys and membership information.

The Research committee chairman is appointed by the Board of Directors for a two-year term. The Research Chair may recruit members for a research committee. The purpose of the committee is to promote, encourage and co-operate with SIP members, students and others engaged in research about Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy and its evolution based on the work of Virginia Satir. They may also conduct internal research into the main areas of the Institutes activities such as marketing, membership, training and product development.

The nomination committee chairman is appointed by the Board of Directors for a two-year term. The nomination chairman may recruit members for the nomination committee. The nomination committee actively searches for new members to the Board of Directors and Committees.
